A Note from the Grower

Bronze fennel is flat out cool! While the garden is overflowing with greens of various hues, this plant has unusual color and texture to offer.

Fennel can be harvested as an herb, vegetable or seed. I prefer to grow for its leaves, flowers and ornamental value rather than harvesting the bulb.

Fennel has a mild anise flavor that works beautifully in roast dishes, soups and ground meats.
