Beefsteak Tomato 'Cherokee Purple'
Pre-order for local pick-up available as early as April 15.
‘Cherokee Purple’ is the heirloom tomato variety to have in your garden if you’re a fan of heirloom flavor. This black tomato variety is known for its purple-pink hues, meaty fruit and sweet flavor. It’s fruit is quite large in size, so I am classifying it as a beefsteak tomato. Indeterminate plant.
Height: ~5-6’
Fruit Size: 10-12 oz.

A Note from the Grower
Black tomatoes are known for their sweet, low acid flavor. If you are on the hunt for a black tomato, probably the most recognized name is ‘Cherokee Purple.’ I have found that black varieties are a bit more sun sensitive. Avoid full on sun for best success.
