Lavender 'Sensational'
Pre-order for local pick-up available as early as May 1.
‘Sensational’ is a hybrid English lavender developed by Peace Tree Farms building on their work with its predecessor, ‘Phenomenal’ lavender. This lavender is not only known to withstand cold winters, droughty conditions and wet feet, it also has dense, deep purple blooms! It retains lower leaves, resists central dieback as it ages, and branches fabulously. You’ll love this lavender, I promise!
Height & Spread: ~32”
Plants are grown in 1-quart containers and have been overwintered in Kansas to ensure planting success.

A Note from the Grower
Lavender is the best. It’s pleasant to look at—to smell—to eat (or drink)—to dry for later use—to include in candles, oils and soaps—to create a floral arrangement—and it attracts pollinators while repelling mosquitos! The trick is to learn how to care for lavender. I have you covered…
Lavender has a bad rap for being difficult to grow. In reality, with proper knowledge, you’ll find that it lends itself to growth in our Kansas soil and climate. Read more about specific care in the Plant Guide.
Ease of care has much to do with genetic selection as well. I’ve done that part for you! I chose a cultivated variety bred for both ease of establishment and low camphor content, making it a great all-round choice for growers looking for a multi-purpose lavender plant.
