Greens 'Alfresco Mix'

$4.50
Sold Out

Pre-order for local pick-up available as early as March 15.

There is nothing like dining alfresco! Europeans can make a common practice of it, but Kansans have to take it when we can get it—very similar to home grown lettuce. Haha!

Feel like you’re dining alfresco this spring every time you take a bite of this fresh leafy green mix including red and green leaf lettuce, arugula, endive and radicchio. It can be stagger planted in ground starting in early spring or planted in a container garden mixed with herbs and edible flowers for a fresh salad mix.

Height & Spread: ~12”

A Note from the Grower

Growing greens is absolutely rewarding! They create a picture perfect spring garden, and because of their short lives and shallow roots systems, they can grow in almost any vessel in which you plant them. Enjoy fresh lettuce, arugula, radicchio, kale or chard from the mixes I have offered this year.

It is key to get your greens planted while it is still cool to ensure longer harvest time. Last year, I planted in planters and in-ground, and I have to say, I enjoyed my planter experience best, harvest time lasted longer and I had more room in my raised bed garden for other plants. Head to the Plant Guide for greens planting, care and harvest info.
