If you’re looking for a classic eggplant, look no further! As compared to my earlier variety, ‘Nadia’ eggplant, ‘Nigral’ has high yield potential and is aimed at producing earlier in the season.

It is also spineless—so no pokes! The deep, glossy fruit should be harvested after reaching 9” in length, and are excellent cut into round stakes for grilling over the summer. Read more on eggplant below.

A Note from the Grower

I feel that eggplant is one of the more undervalued garden vegetables. It’s simply misunderstood. Finding the proper variety for your style of cooking is the main task. A home-grown eggplant is the best eggplant. Eggplant is a great star of the dish or side-kick. Cook on the grill in steaks, pan-fry or roast with other vegetables for a solid side dish, or stew in a hearty pasta sauce.
