A note about the pottery…

Nelson McCoy Pottery Co. has its roots as a pottery company beginning officially in 1910, but its true rise to fame didn’t happen until 1933 when the company started to turn its attention to manufacturing decorative pieces. They were one of the first pottery companies to stamp their pottery a brand! Not every McCoy pottery piece has a branded stamp (especially pieces older than 1933), but many do! If you’re a nerd about antiques and vintage items like me, read more about McCoy pottery at the McCoy Pottery Collectors’ Society website.

Vintage Finds

Every vintage item that I forage has at least one story to tell. Use your imagination! Because vintage pottery has lived life, there may be minor crazing in the glaze or potential for it in future. Vintage pieces have much life to live yet. Personally, I recommend these as best suited to dried floral designs or display in a climate-controlled area, as water and extreme temperatures can accelerate wear. Keep in mind that all purchases on my website are final sale. If you have questions about piece quality, send them here!
