A note about the pottery…

World War II greatly influenced the beginnings of many American manufacturing companies, including Shawnee Pottery Company. Starting in 1937 and operating until 1961 in Zanesville, Ohio, Shawnee Pottery received its name and logo due to the large number of arrowheads found in the area. Most of their products could be found in “five-and-dime” stores back in the day, and Shawnee items have now become quite collectable.

Vintage Finds

Every vintage item that I forage has at least one story to tell. Use your imagination! Because vintage pottery has lived life, there may be minor crazing in the glaze or potential for it in future. Vintage pieces have much life to live yet. Personally, I recommend these as best suited to dried floral designs or display in a climate-controlled area, as water and extreme temperatures can accelerate wear. Keep in mind that all purchases on my website are final sale. If you have questions about piece quality, send them here!
